What we treat

Urgent Care, Then Everything Else

Urgent visits come first. We are also a general dental office for exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns.

Toothaches

We look for the cause, take X-rays when your dentist decides you need them, and go through your options before treating anything.

  • Exam and X-rays your dentist decides on

  • Numbing before treatment

  • A plan you approve first

Broken and chipped teeth

A broken tooth can often be repaired. Your dentist looks at how much is left and explains what each repair involves.

  • Bonding and fillings

  • Crowns when a tooth needs one

  • Smoothing a sharp edge

Lost fillings and crowns

Keep the crown if you can and call us. We check the tooth underneath and tell you whether to re-cement the crown or make a new one.

Why Volt

Time Held Back for Urgent Visits

Dr. Helmut Varga founded Volt Dental on a plain idea: a toothache or a broken tooth shouldn't wait for the next open week. Each day we hold time for urgent visits, and the front desk answers the phone to find out what happened and what to do first.

We can't promise a visit on the same day, and some problems belong in an emergency room. When that's the case, we say so.

  • Urgent time each day

We keep part of the schedule open for urgent visits, when we can.

  • Comfort first

Numbing before treatment, breaks when you raise a hand, and headphones if you want them.

  • X-rays when needed

Your dentist decides when X-rays help, then shows you what they found.

  • Plans in writing

You hear your options and get the estimate before any treatment.

What Counts as a Dental Emergency

Call us for any of these. If you are not sure, call and ask.

  • Broken or cracked tooth

Save any pieces you can find, press clean gauze on any bleeding and call us. We tell you whether to come in today.

  • A toothache that won't settle

Pain or swelling that keeps you up, or does not ease with a rinse of warm water, needs a look.

  • A lost filling or crown

Keep the crown if you can and call us. The tooth is more sensitive without it.

  • A knocked-out tooth

Time matters. Hold it by the crown, not the root, and call us right away.

When You Call

What Happens When You Call

We would rather talk first, so you know what to do before you set out.

  • 01

    Call us

Phone the office while we are open. A person answers and asks what happened.

  • 02

We tell you what to do first

Steps you can take at home right now, or a pointer to an emergency room if the problem cannot wait.

  • 03

    We find a time

We see urgent patients as soon as the day allows, and say plainly if we cannot see you today.

  • 04

    Your visit

A dentist examines the tooth, takes X-rays if they decide you need them, and explains your options and the estimate before treatment.
